Homemade Hot Cocoa

One of my favorite childhood memories.  Curling up on the couch with some hot cocoa and watching Christmas movies with my family! Back then, we were using the Nestles Hot Chocolate Powder with 2% Milk.  Now, I have tested some other ways to find a healthier and more gut friendly alternatives that let me go back in time ;).  All you need is: Almond Milk (or any non dairy milk), Dark Chocolate Chips, Cacao Powder, Raw Honey, and Vanilla Bean Extract!

Pour Almond Milk (non dairy option), Dark Chocolate Chips, and Cacao Powder into a medium saucepan and stir to combine ingredients.  Bring to a boil.

Once liquid has come to a boil, add in the Raw Honey and bring to a simmer.  Whisk to froth milk.  Pour into your favorite mug and top with Marshmallows for an extra treat!  Time to carry on the tradition and create new memories with your homemade Hot Coco.  Enjoy!
