Ah, the week of energy. The week of noticing the energy to help control the conversation. The week of using my energy to control myself from grabbing a whole pizza from the Fresh Food Station at Whole Foods. Seriously though, it took all of my willpower to keep myself from face planting into the perfectly cooked thick crust pizza. The kind smothered with tomato sauce, a mountain of greasy cheese, and a heavenly Italian aroma. Okay, I just had an out of body experience thinking about it again, sorry.
Luckily, I have a road map through Whole Foods so that every day can be a “cheat meal” that I can get behind. I never deprive myself, but I have found healthy alternatives so that I can enjoy deliciously cheesy and saucy pizza, or all of the other kinds of Italian cravings, without feeling sluggish after.
Here are just some of the healthier alternatives I’ve found to quench the thirst for my favorite pizza nights, with a bonus sweet treat. Bon Appétit!
